Hello beekeepers! As summer approaches, beekeepers have to plan a series of tasks, including the purchase of queen bees. Therefore, we often receive questions about queen bees deliveries.

Do we deliver queen bees to other EU countries?

Yes! We deliver virgin, naturally mated and instrumentally inseminated queen bees not only in Latvia, but also to other EU member states. In 2022, beekeepers from Poland, the Czech Republic, Finland, Lithuania and Estonia received our queen bees. We use courier services for delivery, ensuring that your queens are delivered to your doorstep. The delivery time depends on destination country, e.g. in the Baltic countries delivery is 1-2 working days, Czech Republic 3-5 working days, Poland 2-4 working days, Finland 2-4 working days and the rest of the EU countries from 3 up to 5 working days.

What are the requirements for shipments of queen bees between EU member states?

In order for us to be able to send European honey bee Apis mellifera queens to other EU countries, according to EU regulations 2016/429, 2020/688, 2021/403, a mandatory veterinary health certificate must be attached to queen bee shipments.
